Storm Water Management Plan (MS4) Permit

The City of Alamo Heights filed for the MS4 General Permit in 2019. A storm water management plan was developed to implement programs and practices to control polluted stormwater runoff. The program requires the City of Alamo Heights as a Level 1 MS4 operator to:

• Reduce the discharge of pollutants to the maximum extent practicable (MEP);
• Protect water quality;
• Satisfy the appropriate water quality requirements of the Clean Water Act; and
• Manage stormwater quality activities through the Stormwater Management Program (SWMP).
