Message from City Manager

Welcome to the City of Alamo Heights website!

City Council is pleased to announce the new City Manager for the City of Alamo Heights is Buddy Kuhn. Buddy has been with Alamo Heights since 2009 when he was hired as Assistant Fire Chief. He was promoted to Fire Chief/Emergency Management Coordinator in 2010 and has served
as Assistant City Manager/Fire Chief since 2014.

Mr. Kuhn had served as a Firefighter since 1981 spending most of his career in the City of Terrell Hills Fire Department, where he was Assistant Fire Chief for almost 10 years. His experience also includes working for the City of Boerne where, among other tasks, he served in the Fire Marshal’s

During his tenure with Alamo Heights, Buddy has been instrumental in many major City projects including assisting in overseeing the construction of the new City Hall in 2014 and leading the Fire Department to receive an outstanding ISO 2 rating, which benefits all of our residents. We believe with his leadership skills and the support of our city staff, Buddy will do an outstanding job as City Manager and will continue to accomplish great things for the City of Alamo Heights.
