National Night Out

An annual event proven to be an effective and enjoyable program to promote neighborhood spirit and police-community partnerships in our fight for safer neighborhoods. Along with the traditional display of outdoor lights and front porch vigils, citizens participate in variety of events and activities such as block parties, cookouts, and visits from police officers and firefighters.

On October 2009, the City held the 1st Annual National Night Out Event at City Hall. Residents and their families visited the City facilities and participated in many fun activities. Staff was on-hand to answer any questions and demonstrated some of the equipment utilized by Public Safety personnel.

Join us on Tuesday, October 6, 2026 for the 15th Annual National Night Out.  It will be at the Alamo Heights City Hall, 6116 Broadway, rear (in firebay).  It will begin at 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.  Daisy Bees and Friends will be there for face painting along with making balloons into fun art!  There will be free hot dogs, chips and beverages.  Come and meet your neighbors!
