1st Annual Alamo Heights Chili Cook Off

Get your chili pots fired up—we’re cooking up a new tradition!
The City of Alamo Heights wants to start something new to bring the community together and have some fun. Where else would be a better spot than at the Kellyanne Park? With the collaboration of the Heights Pool, we are excited to announce the 1st Annual Alamo Heights Chili Cook Off. There will be no entry fees to compete or attend. The City would like to do something fun for the community and to build community. We hope to see you there!
There are 22 contestant spots for cooks ready to compete for cash prizes and the bragging rights of having the best chili—at least on this side of the San Antonio River!
WHEN: Saturday, November 14 | 11 AM–6 PM
WHERE: Kellyanne Park & Heights Pool Parking Lot (250 Viesca, SA, TX 78209)
Here’s what else is on the menu for the event:
- NO Entry Fees to compete or attend (come and enjoy)
- Chili Cook Off with cash prizes
- Cornhole Tournament with cash prizes
- Bounce houses for the kids
- Opening Band (Texas Tide): Noon–4 PM
- Main Act (The Texases): 4–6 PM
- College Football streaming in the Park (UT v LSU and A&M v. Tenn that same day and many other great college games!)
- Poolside (in the Park) food and beverage service throughout the Park and event area
- Free chili samples from contestants
- Face Painting
- Balloon Artists
- And much more!!!

Email park@heightspool.com to sign up and the Heights Pool staff will respond with the details and help get you registered. Spots are limited to the first 22 contestants to sign up, so don’t leave your chili on the back burner!
