Supporting Relief Efforts for Kerrville

  July 8, 2025

A message from CITY OF OLMOS PARK

Dear Olmos Park Residents,

We’ve heard from many of you asking how to help in response to the devastating flooding in Central Texas. Thank you for your compassion and generosity.

To support the relief efforts for flood victims in the Hill Country, we’ve compiled the following trusted options for monetary donations:

There are many ways to give, but these organizations are well-positioned to provide immediate and ongoing support to those impacted.

Supply Donations

The Salvation Army Kroc Center in Kerrville has temporarily paused in-kind and meal donations due to space limitations but hopes to resume accepting them once a larger warehouse is secured. In the meantime, the Olmos Park Police Department is coordinating a local supply collection at City Hall. If you would like to contribute, please bring your donations to City Hall on Thursday, July 10 only, during regular business hours (8:30 am – 5:00 pm). Donations must be received by 5:00 p.m. so staff can sort and prepare items for transport to Kerrville. Please do not drop off items after the deadline. We will transport the supplies to Kerrville when they are ready to accept more donations and resources. Donations can include:

  • Non-Perishables
  • Hygiene Items
  • Bleach
  • Brooms
  • Shovels
  • Trash Bags
  • Diapers
  • Socks
  • Baby Wipes

For more information about ongoing needs and volunteer opportunities, please visit the Salvation Army Kroc Center in Kerrville. All volunteer coordination is being handled by the Salvation Army Social Services Office, 855 Hayes St., Kerrville, TX. They have kindly asked that volunteers do not self-deploy to affected areas. Uncoordinated efforts can block critical roadways and divert essential resources. Instead, please go through established volunteer organizations or official channels to ensure that your help is effective and doesn’t hinder ongoing relief operations.

We will continue to monitor the situation and share updates if new needs arise or additional ways to help become available.

Thank you,

City of Olmos Park
