Welcome to the Alamo Heights Police Department
The Alamo Heights Police Department is staffed with twenty-two sworn full-time officers. Sworn officer staffing includes the Chief of Police, two Lieutenants, four Sergeants, one Criminal Investigator and fourteen officers. The Police Department also employs nine Communications Operators in the Emergency Services Center, one Senior Administrative Assistant in the Police Administrative Office, and one Animal Care Services Attendant.
Police services include uniformed patrol operations, criminal investigations, youth services, traffic accident investigation, and enforcement, bicycle patrol and supplementary services that include, vacation watch program, participation with community action groups, crime prevention, and elementary and junior school Drug Abuse Resistance Education (D.A.R.E.).
