Crime Prevention Programs

A Police Officer can inspect your home or business and discuss various methods of burglary, theft, and robbery prevention. This service is free of charge to residents and businesses in Alamo Heights.

Insurance Reduction Inspections

Police Officers are certified to inspect your residence for an insurance reduction. Residential homes that meet the minimum requirements may qualify for a discount in homeowners insurance.

Vacation Watch

Citizens who will be leaving their homes unattended while on vacation or during extended trips may request additional patrols. Officers will stop by your residence periodically during your absence and will report suspicious findings to your designated contact person. Download Form.

Fingerprinting

The Alamo Heights Police Department only provides fingerprint services to residents and businesses of Alamo Heights. Requestors who do not live in Alamo Heights or are not employed by a business in Alamo Heights may be referred to the San Antonio Police Department, the law enforcement agency in their jurisdiction or to Region 20 Education Service Center.

Fingerprint services are available on Wednesday from 9 a.m. – 12 p.m. (noon) and 1:30 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. There is a $10 fee for each fingerprint card processed. Requestors must provide their own fingerprint cards.

The Alamo Heights Police Department is not equipped for electronic fingerprint submissions. Residents in need of this service should contact the San Antonio Police Department or Region 20 Education Service Center.
