Citizens' Emergency Service Academy

The Alamo Heights Police and Fire Department sponsors the Citizens Emergency Service Academy, and the purpose of this academy is to educate the citizens of Alamo Heights on the operations of the Police, Fire and Medical Services. This is accomplished through a series of presentations and some hands-on activities over a ten (10) week program.

The academy is taught by Police Officers, Firefighters and Paramedics currently involved in various emergency service activities within our community. Classes may vary, but generally include:

  • Introduction to Fire and Police Services
  • Demonstration of equipment, Police vehicles and Fire/EMS apparatus
  • Specialized responses to emergency situations
  • Fire and crime prevention
  • Other informative topics

Who Can Attend?

Citizens who reside or work within the City of Alamo Heights, members of Alamo Heights civic groups, as well as teachers and staff of the Alamo Heights Independent School District.
