Citizens Police Academy |

The Alamo Heights Police Department
sponsors the Citizens Police Academy, and the purpose of
this academy is to educate the citizens of Alamo Heights
on the operations of the Alamo Heights Police
Department. This is accomplished through a series of
presentations and some hands-on activities over a ten
(10) week program. The
academy is taught by Police Officers currently involved
in various policing activities within our community.
Classes may vary, but generally include:

Alamo Heights Police Department

Traffic and Patrol missions and functions

Criminal Investigation

Swat
and Hostage Negotiations

A
Ride-a-long program; and much, much more.

Who Can Attend?
Citizens who reside or work within the City of Alamo
Heights who; |
|
|
- · Are over 18 years of
age and out of High School
- · Successfully
complete an informal background investigation.
