I am happy to announce that Sgt. Tom Vitacco and Detective Ric DeRosa apprehended one (1) suspect in this on-going investigation during the early evening hours of March 14, 2016. Investigation has confirmed 19 year old Michael Teneyuque was one of two suspects who planned and participated in the robbery and death of Celso T. Campean. Teneyuque was apprehended on the south side of San Antonio a short distance from his home and valuable evidence in the case was seized at the time of the arrest.
Teneyuque was transported to the Magistrate’s Office where he was booked for Capital Murder with bond set at $500,000. The second subject has been positively identified and the process has begun to obtain a warrant for his arrest for Capital Murder as well. That subject remains at large at the time of this writing.
Although there are two suspects identified, please contact Sgt. Tom Vitacco at (210) 832-2204 or Detective Ric DeRosa at (210) 832-2248 if there is any information that may prove helpful in bringing the matter to close. Thank You

I regret to have reason to send this community bulletin about a tragedy that occurred during the overnight hours in Alamo Heights.
At approximately 2:22am, Alamo Heights Police Dispatch received a 9-1-1 call reporting a body in the roadway. Responding officers located a seventeen year old Hispanic male victim suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Alamo Heights EMS transported the victim to a hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Investigators learned the victim had attended a party earlier in the 6800 blk. of Broadway. The victim was reported to have left the party and got into a vehicle with two (2) suspects believed responsible for his death. After a few minutes, two (2) members of the party left to investigate what they thought to be gunshots and found the victim lying in the roadway in the 800 blk. of Alamo Heights Blvd.
Detectives have interviewed all persons known to have attended the party and learned from two (2) persons that the victim contacted the suspects to arrange for a drug purchase. It appears that something went wrong during the drug deal resulting in the death of the victim.
The victim was only known by “Tristan” but has since been positively identified as seventeen (17) year old Celso Tristan Compean. Next of kin has been notified by AHPD Detectives. Also, the identity of two (2)possible suspects has been learned as Detectives have aggressively pursued this case.
At this time the suspects have not been located and remain at large. For those worried for the safety of the community, it is important to mention none of the people hosting or attending the party, including the victim and the suspects, reside in Alamo Heights or anywhere nearby.
If there is anyone having any information about this homicide, please contact Sgt. Tom Vitacco at (210) 832-2204 or Detective Ric DeRosa at (210)832-2248.
